Developed within the framework of the Timber Charter and financed by the Green Fund, Gestimat is a tool for estimating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions linked to the manufacture of structural materials which makes it possible to compare different building scenarios in a Quebec context.

The modeling of scenarios can be done using the estimation of the quantities of materials according to typical buildings or by entering quantities of materials specific to a given project.

As part of the government`s exemplary measure of the Wood Charter, Gestimat also allows the various provincial ministries and organizations to share the data from their GHG analyzes with the Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks. of Quebec (MFFP).
